Is it a good idea to only rely on those who just use TA's and PhD's?
We consult every resource we can find, not just TA's and PhD's. Many of them are brilliant, many have attended other schools than yours. This means that many have never been taught by the Professors that you are taking. So they often know things/do things very differently than what you need to know/do in the class and on the exams. Our PhD's, former TA's, and staff are intimately familiar with this University and its Professors going back many years!
What classes do you offer weekly supplemental classes, Student Membership Programs, and/or review sessions do you offer?
We offer these for almost all of our classes (including all General Chemistry, Organic Chem, Physics, Biology, Mathematics, Biochemistry, etc.) and preparation for all Admissions Tests (MCAT, PCAT, DAT, GRE, SAT, ACT, etc).
How long so the Sessions last?
Usually anywhere from 2 to 4 ½ hours, depending on how much material we have to cover. DON'T WORRY. We'll get you out before you brain turns to mush. AND, we'lll end up doing about 4-6 hours worth of material (compared to other tutors) in about half the time! This is because we have figured out quicker ways to do some things (i.e. there are usually about 6 ways to do anything in these classes, but 5 of those ways are terrible or more time-consuming).
How do I view or sign up for the TUTORINGTRAIN/TeachandTrain Programs or Sessions?
Go to the CLASSES/SCHEDULES AND TIMES page where you will find out when to show up and/or pay for the programs (all credit/debit cards accepted). You can also pay in person (cash, check, or credit/debit card). But, if its more covenant for your parents to help you pay or just for you to pay on this website, you can click on the CLASSES/SCHEDULES AND TIMES link from any page. Any of us are also available any time to answer your parents' or your questions at (352)222-6222 (afternoons are the best time to reach us by phone, evenings are the worst because we'll be holding the live sessions then).
What are the Student Membership Programs?
This is a way of saving a lot of money for those who are serious about attending the many review sessions on a regular basis throughout the semester in order to increase their chances of finishing better off in the class. We take hundreds of dollars off the regular amount that you would normally pay as you went through the total semester. It's better to take advantage of this program toward the beginning of the semester, but not necessary. Still, it's OK with us to just pay as you go if you'd like. With us, you can try it for a little while before you do it (this is because we are so confident that you will like what you see that you will be even more likely to do it. We know our stuff!)
More info on these Programs and others is at the bottom of the "Services" page.
What if I can't afford the Programs or even paying as I go for the Sessions?
NO ONE WILL BE TURNED DOWN BECAUSE OF AFFORDABILITY. We will work with you to help you out. WE DON'T CARE ABOUT THE MONEY AS MUCH AS WE CARE ABOUT YOU DOING WELL (because this helps us preserve our great track record we have built up over the years).
Why should I go to the SUBSCRIBE page and get on the email list?
This is one of the best ways to help stay informed (complete privacy policy) so that you don't miss any schedule changes or updates. Also, there have been times when we have sent out free extra help to our subscribers (see next question on extra stuff we can do).
What extra benefits could I possibly expect?
We will also be occasionally sending out helpful information for your major or class, or career. When you've been around here for over two decades, you tend to develop connections / relationships that can benefit you in many ways. Many of our former students are now doctors, pharmacists, veterinarians, engineers, health professionals, businessmen, researchers, professors, etc... many of which are prominent figures within many Universities around the country. We often develop a "family" type of atmosphere with many of our students over the years that is unique in such a large University.
